Biography

Current Position: 

  • Assistant Professor in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology at the Department of Medicine and Surgery, University of Salerno. 

Studies: 

  • Degree in Chemistry achieved at the Faculty of Chemistry of the University “Federico II” of Naples, on 1997, vote 110/110 cum laude. 
  • PhD in Chemistry received in 2002 from the University “Federico II” of Naples discussing a thesis entitled “Conformational analysis of protein and protein complexes”. 

Awards: 

  • In 2002, he received the “Giacomino Randazzo” prize assigned by Società Chimica Italiana for the best PhD thesis in Chemistry. 

Bibliometric Parameters: 

  • 118 papers on international peer reviewed journals, 2200 citation, H index: 26 

Working Experiences: 

  • From 2002 to 2004 he worked as scientific manager and researcher at the "Laboratory of bio-analytical mass spectrometry" into the Interdepartmental Biotechnology Research Centre at the University of Bologna. 
  • From 2004 to 2006 he worked as young researcher at the Department of Pharmacy of the University of Salerno to lead a project on metabolomics and proteomics of Salvia ssp plants. 
  • In 2000 he was at the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) of Lion (France) working with dr Marlin Friesen, to develop new methods to identify DNA polymorphisms by mass spectrometry.
