Overview
Cancer is a broad group of diseases characterized by uncontrolled cell proliferation, evasion of normal growth and death signals, invasion of surrounding tissue, and potential metastasis to distant organs. Tumors develop through accumulated genetic and epigenetic changes and are classified by tissue of origin, histological type, and molecular features that increasingly direct diagnosis and treatment. The articles assembled here span prevention, screening, mechanism, and therapy across multiple malignancies, including cervical cancer screening uptake and awareness in several populations, colorectal cancer screening program development with attention to dietary and lifestyle factors, and trends in thyroid cancer incidence. Molecular and elemental studies examine regulation of genes such as RNF43 in colorectal cancer and trace-element content in malignant thyroid nodules, while a theoretical contribution links nervous system adaptation to disease persistence. Treatment-oriented work addresses cancer immunotherapy, complementary approaches, and cellular mechanics underlying therapeutic resistance and relapse. Diagnosis depends on pathological examination supported by imaging and molecular characterization, and management combines surgery, radiation, and systemic therapies selected by tumor type and stage. Because cancer encompasses diverse biology and clinical behavior, effective control relies on early detection, accurate classification, and individualized treatment, complemented by attention to prevention and the broader needs of affected patients.
