Biography
- Vitor H. Pomin, assistant professor at the Institute of Medical Biochemistry (IBqM) in Federal University of Rio de Janeiro since 2011, conducts research on glycobiology, specifically on marine medicinal glycans, and the application of NMR spectroscopy on structural and functional analyses of carbohydrates.
- He is author of 9 book chapters, main editor of 3 books, and has over 20 peer-reviewed published articles, all in the fields of glycobiology and/or NMR spectroscopy.
- After obtaining his PhD in Biological Chemistry (2008) at the IBqM, he spent close to 3 years at Complex Carbohydrate Research Center, UGA, USA as a post-doctorate associate.
