Article Processing Charges (APCs)
Transparent investment in high-impact oncology and hematology publishing.
Sustaining Open Access Excellence
Journal of Hematology and Oncology Research is a fully open-access journal, meaning all published research is immediately and permanently free for everyone to read, download, and share. To sustain this clinical infrastructure, we charge a focused Article Processing Charge (APC).
The APC is not merely a publication fee; it is an investment in the global visibility and scientific integrity of your oncology research. Unlike subscription-based journals where content is hidden behind paywalls, Journal of Hematology and Oncology Research (JHOR) ensures that every clinical protocol, molecular study, and hematology review is accessible to the doctors and scientists who need it most. Your investment covers the comprehensive management of the scholarly lifecycle, ensuring that your work meets the highest technical and ethical standards.
Our commitment to transparency means we provide a detailed breakdown of how these funds are utilized to advance the field of cancer and blood research.

JHOR is committed to ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent the publication of high-quality clinical research. We offer a structured waiver program tailored to the needs of the global oncology community.
- Geographic Waivers: Authors from Low-Income and Lower-Middle-Income countries (as defined by the World Bank) are eligible for significant partial waivers.
- Student Support: A flat $540 fee is guaranteed for students who are listed as the primary author and provide faculty-verified ID.

Why is there an APC?
As an open-access journal, we do not have subscription revenue. The APC replaces subscriptions to ensure everyone—including patients—can read your research for free.
Can the APC be refunded?
Once production and typesetting have begun, the APC is non-refundable. If an article is withdrawn before production starts, a 30% administrative fee may apply.
Does payment influence acceptance?
Absolutely not. Our editors and reviewers have no access to payment status, ensuring that scientific merit is the only criteria for publication.
Who usually pays the APC?
In most oncology research, APCs are covered by research grants (NIH, Wellcome Trust, etc.), institutional budgets, or university open-access funds.
