Research focusMy major research interest is to develop behavior-based interventions to provide cognitive training for older adults with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and early-stage Alzheimer's disease (AD) living in rural settings. My passion for AD research is driven by my Asian heritage of lifelong care of older adults and my clinical experiences in adult day care centers and other gerontological care facilities in rural areas of the United States. As a volunteer in the local chapter of Alzheimer's Association, I have observed that the families of cognitively impaired older adults showed great satisfaction with technology-based resources that connect them with others, such as health care providers and long-distance family members. These vulnerable families used and valued technology-based interventions that were both stimulating and informative.

Editors must treat manuscripts as confidential and avoid conflicts of interest. If a conflict exists, the editor should recuse and notify the editorial office. Editors may decline an assignment where a conflict of interest or a workload issue arises.
Editorial decisions are based on the quality of the science, alignment with scope, and potential public health impact. The article processing charge is applied only after acceptance, and there are no submission fees.
Peer review
Peer review is Single-blind (double-blind on request). Reviewers are subject-matter experts in preventive medicine, public health and care delivery, and their feedback is synthesized into one clear decision.
Data sources
Board fields come from the approved editor database. External registers are linked only where the page makes a separate journal-level claim supported by that register.

Serving on the board
Applications are assessed on scholarly record and review experience. Serving as an editor confers no advantage in the review or acceptance of an editor's own manuscripts, which are handled under the same conflict-of-interest rule as any other.
