Biography
Dr. Adamu Ahmed is a Consultant at Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital in Zaria, Kaduna, Nigeria, where he has contributed to surgical and medical research with particular emphasis on conditions prevalent in resource-limited settings. He received his medical education from Ahmadu Bello University Faculty of Medicine. His research encompasses a broad range of clinical topics, including emergency abdominal surgery outcomes across different income settings, management of intra-abdominal infections, typhoid-related complications, and cardiovascular and renal disease management. His most-cited work, "Patterns of Early-Onset Colorectal Cancer Among Nigerians and African Americans" (2020), reflects his interest in comparative oncological epidemiology and health disparities affecting African populations.
