Aims and Scope

3D printing is a rapidly growing technology with many potential applications in a range of different fields. Recently, 3D printing has been used to manufacture a variety of structures, components, and machines, as well as structures and items that are custom-made for specific projects. J3DPA (Journal of 3D Printing and Applications) is a peer-reviewed open access journal dedicated to furthering research and knowledge related to 3D Printing and its applications. It provides readers insight into the latest advancements and research in this ever-growing field.

The journal focuses on topics such as 3D printing technology, additive manufacturing, 3D scanning, 3D reconstruction, design, material selection and processing, prototyping, testing and validation, fabrication, inspection and control, supply chain strategies and optimization, industrial applications, more. It is a multidisciplinary journal that includes research in all related areas, including engineering, materials science, computer science and mathematics, physics, life sciences, and social sciences. The topics may include but are not limited to 3D modeling, 3D printing workflow, design and software, prototype development and manufacturing, 3D printing with metal and composite materials, and 3D printing for solving complex problems. Furthermore, several applications of 3D printing such as healthcare, aerospace, architecture, and energy are also accepted.

The scope of Journal of 3D Printing and Applications(J3DPA) is to publish articles that explore new ideas and advancements in the field of 3D printing, including materials science, engineering, design and manufacturing, modeling, prototyping, and production. All articles published in the journal are also expected to provide useful insights for the 3D printing community. The journal publishes original research papers, review articles, technical reports, case reports, and short communications on the topics of 3D printing. Research papers should present novel findings, and previously unpublished results and should use accepted international standards of 3D printing. Review papers should serve as a comprehensive resource to the readers while offering a detailed and critical review of the advances in the field of 3D printing. Technical reports should be practical case studies in real-time scenarios for various types of 3D printing applications.

The journal includes contributions from researchers in all areas of engineering and science such as Industrial, Mechanical, and Manufacturing Engineers, Automotive and Transportation Engineers, Aerospace Engineers, Metallurgical and Materials Engineers, Electrical and Electronic Engineers, Biomedical and Biotechnological Engineers, Naval and Marine Engineers, Environmental and Petroleum Engineers, as well. Other areas, such as medicine, dentistry, visual arts, and product design are also covered. All manuscripts should contain the latest results in research or application of 3D printing and additive fabrication

The journal also encourages submissions from various areas of application including but not limited to aerospace, automotive, medical, construction, industrial, fashion, materials science, energy management, and food technology. Nowadays 3D printing is being used in a wide range of industrial and academic applications. It is a multidisciplinary journal that welcomes submissions across biological, physical, engineering, and computer sciences.
