Leadership in Lactation Science Publishing
Editors are the custodians of scientific quality. Your breastfeeding expertise and judgment shape the journal's direction and ensure only rigorous, impactful research reaches the lactation community.
Manuscript Assessment
Evaluate submissions for scientific merit, clinical relevance, methodological rigor, and contribution to lactation science. Determine scope fit before initiating review.
Reviewer Selection
Identify qualified lactation researchers, IBCLCs, and clinicians without conflicts of interest. Balance laboratory and clinical perspectives.
Decision Authority
Make accept, revise, or reject decisions based on reviewer reports and independent judgment. Provide clear, constructive feedback to authors.
Timeline Management
Maintain efficient processing. Lactation researchers value rapid publication—ensure timely reviewer invitations and decisions.

- Recuse from manuscripts with formula company or personal conflicts
- Avoid using unpublished findings from submissions
- Report suspected misconduct to Editor-in-Chief
