Reviewer Selection

- Length: Varies by article type (see article types section above). Exclude references and supplementary materials from word count.
- Structure: Title page, Abstract (250 words max), Keywords (5-8 terms), Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, References.
- Line Spacing: Double-spaced throughout with continuous line numbering for reviewer reference.
- Font: Times New Roman 12pt or Arial 11pt. Use consistent formatting throughout.
- Margins: 1-inch (2.54 cm) margins on all sides.
- Page Numbers: Number all pages consecutively, starting with the title page.
Figures and Tables
High-quality figures and tables enhance the impact of your research. Follow these specifications for optimal presentation.
- File Format: TIFF or EPS for figures. Tables should be editable (Word or Excel format).
- Resolution: Minimum 300 DPI for photographs, 600 DPI for line art and graphs.
- Size: Figures should fit within journal page dimensions (single column: 8.5 cm, double column: 17.5 cm).
- Labels: Use clear, legible fonts (Arial or Helvetica, minimum 8pt). Ensure all labels are readable at final print size.
- Captions: Provide detailed, standalone captions that explain all symbols, abbreviations, and statistical methods.
- Color: Color figures are welcome in the online version. Ensure figures are interpretable in grayscale if printed.
References
Accurate, complete references are essential for scholarly communication. We follow a standard citation format for consistency.
- Style: Vancouver style (numbered citations in order of appearance).
- Format: Author(s). Title. Journal abbreviation. Year;Volume(Issue):Pages. DOI.
- DOI: Include DOI for all references where available. Use format: doi: 10.xxxx/xxxxx
- Completeness: Verify all references are cited in text and all in-text citations appear in reference list.
- Currency: Include recent references (within last 5 years) to demonstrate current knowledge of the field.
Ethics and Compliance

Responding to Reviewer Comments
If your manuscript requires revisions, you'll receive detailed reviewer comments and a clear deadline for resubmission. When submitting your revision:
- Prepare a point-by-point response document addressing each reviewer comment
- Highlight all changes in the revised manuscript (use track changes or color highlighting)
- If you disagree with a reviewer comment, provide a respectful, evidence-based explanation
- Submit your revision within the specified timeframe (typically 30-60 days)
- Include any additional data or analyses requested by reviewers
Publication Process
Once your manuscript is accepted, it enters our production workflow. You'll receive copyedited proofs for review within 10 days.
